After The Funeral

Newspaper Announcements

It is customary to place an announcement in the columns of a local or national newspaper to inform colleagues, acquaintances and the general public that the death has occurred.

This will, in many cases reduce the incidence of embarrassing encounters with people who are not aware of the event. In certain cases the press may also wish to publish an obituary notice or tribute.

We will, if you so wish, place such notices in appropriate newspapers and assist you with the completion of wording for a suitable obituary.

Donations To Charity

It is not unusual for bereaved families to request that donations be made to favourite charities or medical research in lieu of floral tributes from other than immediate family. We are happy to receive such donations on your behalf.

A list of donors will be compiled for your information and the donations will be forwarded to the charity/fund concerned.

Mourning Stationery

Order of Service sheets can be arranged for you and in turn these provide a keepsake of the funeral service. They can range from a simple sheet listing the order of hymns and readings to a booklet including the full wording, to the hymns and perhaps a photograph of the deceased.

Pew cards can be ordered for the placement in any church or chapel for mourners to complete. These will be collected and returned to you detailing all those who attended the service.

In Memoriam cards or Thank-you cards can also be provided for you to send to relatives and friends following the service. Samples of all stationery are available by request.
