For the wellbeing of funeral directors

As a family run funeral directors we understand how you feel when a loved one passes on. Having served Birmingham for many years, we have done our best to meet the requests of everyone who has come to us. We deal with each service with the utmost respect and empathy, ensuring your best wishes are always in our mind.

Funeral services and the preparations leading up to them take their toll not only on the family of the deceased, but the funeral directors themselves. In an effort to assist them, the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF), which represents over 850 independent practitioners, have revealed that more than one in three could be in need of counselling support. As a result of this a new service has been introduced with the aim of promoting good mental health in the profession. Something like this is very fondly welcomed.

As funeral directors it is our job to put the needs of others before ourselves. The community counts on us to be their pillar of strength at a time when they need support. We meet with families where and when it is convenient for them, including making home visits to make arrangements in a comfortable location. In many cases we can help families after hours or on holidays after a passing, sacrificing personal and family time to the community as a result. With counselling services like SAIF’s available, funeral directors will have the opportunity to relieve the stresses that come with the demands of the industry and continue to serve families with efficiency.

At Darren W. Faragher Funeral Directors it is our privilege to serve the community in their time of need. We are very pleased to offer a range of services, including pre-paid funerals, floral and catering arrangements and even horse drawn carriages. Your loved one deserves a meaningful and personal service and that is what we intend to deliver. If you want to work with a long standing family run business in Birmingham please consider us.
